Our 2006 garden was outstanding, and it was said that it was the best garden ever at Hampton Court Flower Show.
Planning for Hampton Court takes place as the last show finishes, with our designer Claudia De Yong making sketches, all of the paperwork arrives around Christmas to be completed for the New Year. We then have to start sourcing the plants and anything else required for the garden. The building of the garden takes place 3 weeks before the flower show. You start with an open piece of ground where you then build your garden, digging out the pond, lining, filling and planting, we have anywhere from 6 - 12 people building the garden. We then spend a week at the flower show selling plants all of which are in the garden. When the show has finished we have 1 week to break the garden down and bring it back to Dorset, unless we have sold it.

TATTON PARK

The Bijou Water Garden

2006 was the first year we exhibited at Tatton Park, being that it was so close to the end of Hampton Court we designed a fairly simple small garden. It was designed to show that you do not need large ponds to be able to have lilies. We had a small area decked with water filled pots containing small lilies and other associated water plants, so even with the smallest of space you can have water lilies.

MELPLASH SHOW

2006 was the first time that we had a stand at Melplash Agricultural show, and was a good day. We had on show a wide range of the plants that we sell including a flowering Banana plant. We supplied plants to John Bright Fencing for their show garden which went on and won the Large Show Stand category.

We have supplied many plants this year to people exhibiting at other shows. We supplied plants to  Landscaper who exhibited at Southport Show and he won a Gold Medal. We supplied plants to a member of the public who won a Silver Medal in Camden in Bloom this year. We have also supplied plants to Cotswold Wildlife Park, Bath University, Glastonbury Festival, Kew Gardens, the list is endless!
